Our puppies go home with lifetime support, meaning if circumstances change, we are always here to take puppies back into our care. All puppies leave with endorsements and RKC registration paperwork and pedigrees. Our parent dogs are health tested to all of the RKC required testing, and health tests can be seen on each dogs' RKC page.

The combination of Ch. Sir Constantine de Barba Negra at Philoma and Ch. Philoma American in Paris brought together two outstanding Giant Schnauzers, each with proven success in the show ring and pedigrees rich in quality.


We welcomed four gorgeous, typey males to our affix, three of which went to superb pet homes. The fourth will continue his parents' pawprints to hit the show world towards the end of 2025, and hopefully continue the Philoma legacy into 2026 and beyond.


We were particularly breeding for:

  • Strong conformation and breed type – both dogs exemplify the Giant Schnauzer standard.
  • Complementary strengths – each parent enhances the other’s qualities in structure, coat, and movement.
  • Stable temperaments – confident, intelligent, and loyal, as the breed should be.
  • Proven lineage – both parents are champions themselves, and both have gone on to produce champions in their previous litters.


Born in June 2025, the choice male from this breeding, Philoma Houdini, is currently Top Giant Schnauzer Puppy for 2026 on the OurDogs leaderboard.

2024 saw the first pairing for Ch. Sir Constantine de Barba Negra at Philoma

The pairing of Ch. Sir Constantine de Barba Negra at Philoma with Ch. Echodream Going South to Philoma was an especially meaningful one, as it produced Harry’s very first litter. From the start, this breeding showed immense promise, combining two highly regarded Giants with excellent conformation, sound movement, and confident temperaments.


The results speak for themselves:

  • Ch. Philoma When Harry Met Remy – already crowned a Champion, Noni secured 2 BPIB against her littermates, 3 CCs and 7 RCCs, as well as her first championship level Best of Breed at just 13 months old. Noni's first CC was awarded to her at just 11 months old.
  • Ch. Philoma The Professional JW – gaining his Champion title at 17 months old, and proudly holding his Junior Warrant award. This makes Bodie the second Giant Schnauzer to achieve a JW since 2008. Bodie was the Top Puppy in giant schnauzers for 2025, and secured his first CC and championship level Best of Breed at 12 months old.


This cross blended strength, balance, and type, creating not just promising youngsters, but dogs who are already making history in the show ring. It stands as proof that the thoughtful combination of two outstanding bloodlines can produce something truly extraordinary.
